About

I am a small business working from my home forge in Co Mayo

After travelling the world and a few career changes that took me from the ski slopes in Switzerland to the sugar cane fields in South America I have always been passionate about my craft. The concept of realising an idea sketching it down on paper and creating it so it commands a physical presence has always been appealing to me.

In 2010 I renovated my old barn which now houses the forge and gallery. I am a registered member of the Crafts Council of Ireland and Irish Artists Blacksmiths Association.

“My mission is to reintroduce The Nine Irons, this wonderful Amulet, to the craft market; a piece of our heritage that can be enjoyed by generations to come all the while creating practical and artistic pieces. Through this process I venture to keep our craft alive”

My company is based on the belief that my customers’ needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals.

Corporate & Public Commissions

For many years I have been supplying a variety of hand forged products commissioned by the corporate and public sector.

Classes

Driven by a passion to pass on the skills that have been handed down to me over the years my “Introduction to Forging Skills” classes by appointment run throughout the year. Please contact me for more information.

Collaborations

In Ireland there is such a rich mix of craft people, so occasionally I work collaboratively to create individual pieces. I also run a variety of weekend workshops in the lost crafts of Mayo:

  • Blacksmithing,
  • Basket Weaving,
  • Wood Carving.

I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
